Membership Information

Membership of the Orchestra requires membership of U3A Hawthorn and enrolment in the U3A Hawthorn course MUS001-- Orchestra of U3A Hawthorn.

We welcome players of all orchestral instruments and with all levels of experience, subject to vacancy. It is recommended, however, that players have achieved a level of proficiency and have had some experience with ensemble playing.

In particular the Orchestra has a need at present for experienced viola players.

The Orchestra usually rehearses on the first, third and fifth Thursday mornings at St. Marks Church, corner Burke and Canterbury Roads and detailed rehearsal schedules are available by clicking on Rehearsals in the menu above.
